ALL ABOUT PASITO POTS

Hello! I'm Lorna, the maker behind Pasito Pots.

I play with clay in my garage studio in Coventry, UK.

One of my earliest memories is making mudpies in the garden...I didn't realise at the time that I was learning all about clay chemistry and consistency; I received a potter's wheel as a gift in 2019, and I haven't stopped learning about clay since!

My aim is to create functional, yet interesting items that last the test of time. Therefore, all my pieces are food and dishwasher safe.

Each piece is weeks in the making: the throwing on the wheel is the quickest part. Then comes the trimming, the smoothing, the bisque firing, the sanding, the glazing and a glaze fire before a final clean-up. My prices reflect the work involved to create each piece.

Why Pasito? In Spanish, 'pasito' means 'gently, with care'. 'Pasito a pasito' means 'step by step'. This reflects how my pots are made.

Everything I make is created with love and care. I'd love to hold onto it all, but we only have room for so many pots in our house, so from time to time I will list items for sale to help pay the electricity bill and keep me potting!

If you want to know when the next sale might be, subscribe at the bottom of this page and I'll let you know...

Thanks for visiting :)
